To promote education among the female students of the Punjab State, the Government started the new program by launching the scheme “Mai Bhago Vidya Scheme”. In this scheme, all the girl students of the Punjab state who enrol in classes 9th to 12th will get the Free bicycles. The scheme mainly focus in the rural area of the Punjab, and girl students should belong to the BPL ( Below Poverty Line) family. It will also help the state to decrease the dropout rate from schools.

Many time when girls go for the school they have to walk for long time to complete the distance of the school from their home. Some time they all will get late and parent of girl get tension for the same. Due to same problems, parent decided to discontinue their studies. But if they get the vehicle to cover the distance of the school from home, they can come back to home on time. That’s why government decided to proviode the free bicycles.
