The Punjab Department of Social Security and Women and Child Development has started registration for the Mukhyamantri Mavan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana. This registration process starts in 2087 Anganwadi centres of 9 assembly constituencies on a pilot basis. The primary registration source is Anagwawdi centres. The government allotted a budget of 9300 Crore rupees for the successful implementation for the year 2026-27. This is one of the highest budgets allotted for women’s empowerment in the history of the Punjab budget to date.

Officially, the scheme was announced on the 8th of March 2026 on International Women’s Day. After the announcement, everyone in Punjab was very excited about Bhagwant Mann’s 1000 Rupees Scheme. Eligibility Criteria
