Punjab Mukhyamantri Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana

This time, the political party who having the power in the state is Aam Aadmi Party, which is popular with the name of AAP. On 8th March, they made a new announcement regarding the new scheme, which was launched in favour of the women of the state. Under this scheme, every woman will get Rs. 1,000 every month, and if the woman belongs to a reserved Category like the Schedule Caste, then she will get Rs. 1,500 per month.  This scheme is the promise made by the AAP Government during the assembly election in the state in 2022.

But now, with the decision of the financial budget for the year 2026-27, the Finance Minister Harpal Cheema announced the Mukhyamantri Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana. Government distribute the scheme amount direct in the bank account of all women, and now, after four years of the formation of the government, this is the new scheme that has been launched by CM Bhagwant Maan. The announcement of this scheme is made on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Who is going to receive financial benefits?

This is the first-ever scheme that was launched as the Universal Cash Transfer Scheme. Now the following beneficiary women will be receiving the amount of this scheme.

• Every Citizen of the Punjab State will get benefits.
• The age of the women must be 18 years or above 18 years can be eligible for this scheme.
• Every woman from each family will be eligible for the scheme.
• Women who are receiving Social Security Pensions, like Old Age Pension, Widow Pension or Handicapped Pension, will also be eligible to get benefits from the scheme.

Women Who are Not going to Get Benefits From the Scheme?

• Who are living in the Punjab State but belong to another state.
• Current or Ex Government Employee
• Current or Ex MP or MLA
• Income Tax Payer women
• Women below the age of 18 years

Financial Benefits Amount

In the Mukhyamantri Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana, the Punjab Government gives Rs 1000 in favour of all eligible women, and women who belong to the Schedule Caste get Rs 1500 every month. It means SC women get a total of Rs. 18,000 per year, and other women get Rs. 12,000 every year. To make this payment, a total Budget of Rs. 9,300 Crore will be required by the Government, and money can be transferred online direct in the savings account of the Women.

The scheme is announced on 8 March 2026 on International Women’s Day. And this is the new scheme of the Punjab Government, which was launched after 4 years of their government. The registration for this scheme starts from 15 April 2026 on the occasion of Baisakhi. So wait for the next announcement.

Mukhya Mantri Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana Registration Process

The online registration will start from 15th April 2026, from the day of the Baisakhi festival in the Punjab State. So, before the start of the registration process, every woman who wants to complete the process needs to prepare all the fresh documents in their name.  The amount is also directly transferred to the bank account of the woman. If you don’t have a savings bank account in your name, then you must open one as soon as possible before the registration.

• Primary Registration Method: The primary registration method for Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojana is Offline. You can visit your nearest Anganwadi centre and fill out the application form. Form is also submitted in the Anganwadi centre.
