To manage the girl and boys ratio in the state of Punjab, the government launched the welfare scheme in favour of Girls known as “Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme”. Firstly, this scheme was introduced in 2011, and since the same date, this scheme has been providing financial benefits to all the eligible girls of the state. BY launching this scheme government wants to promote the education of girls. All the eligible girls under this scheme will get the financial assistance of Rs. 61,000 in shape of Fixed Deposit.

This support will be given to every eligible girl child from her birth to till she attain age 18 years. Every parent who have girl in their family will have to become the part of this welfare scheme. The amount can be used for the education of the girls’ education and for their other needs. Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme

To promote the education and well-being of the girls of the Punjab state, the Punjab government in 2011 launched the Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme. All the girls who were born after 2011 in a family having Rs.30,000 yearly income will be eligible to get the benefits of this scheme. Every eligible and selected girl will be eligible to get the financial help of Rs. 61,000. This will help the family with the education of the girls. Features of Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme

• Beneficiaries Targeted: All the girls of the Punjab state who born after 1^st January 2011 will going be selected as beneficiaries of the scheme.
• Financial Assistance:  Government provide Rs.61,000 in shape of LIC deposited in the name of the girls and she will get the same amount when she turn age 18 years.
• Family Income: The group of families having the annual income of Rs.30,000 or less than the same having below the same.
• Objective: this scheme is launched to support the education of the girl and it will also reduce the financial burden of the families.
• Maturity of Benefits: When girls turn age 1 years will get final amount of the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

• Citizenship: All the girls who were born in the state of Punjab and their families residing permanently in Punjab.
• Birth Eligibility: eligible girls must be born after 2011 1^st January.
• Other Girls: Girls who are residing in orphanages and Children Homes Care are also eligible for this scheme.
• Family Status: The annual income of the family is less than Rs.30,000 and having beneficiaries under Atta Dal Scheme.

NOTE: All girls who drop out the schools are no more eligible to obtain the beneficiaries of the scheme.

• First of all you need to check the eligibility Criteria of the scheme and get ready with the documents.
• Now you all need to get the application form from DPO( District Program Office).
• Write all the information about the applicant, their parent details, address and date of birth in the form and attached documents.
• Now for further verification, need to submit the form to the same authority.
• Then the authority will forwarded the form with documents to the next and then after verification completed you will get the benefits of the scheme.
