Punjab government start Meri Rasoi Scheme in the month of February 2026, in which they provide food kits to 40 lakh families. This scheme also started from the month of April 2026; the aim is to provide food and nutrition to families. This scheme was launched by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Singh Mann. Beneficiaries will receive food quarterly to help them to improve their nutrition and reduce hunger, especially for the children of low-income families.

Under this scheme beneficially receive 2 kg chana Dal, 2 kg sugar, 1 kg iodised salt, 200 grams turmeric powder and 1 litre of mustard oil for cooking. With this subsidize Wheat is also provided under the NFSA. These kits are all prepared by Markfed, and they are distributed by the Department of Food and Civil Supply. Food kids are checked by the authority, and they will maintain the quality of all products.
