Punjab Bhagwant Mann government launched a flagship scheme named the Navi Dishaa Scheme. Under this scheme, the government will distribute sanitary pads for the daughters of Punjab. This scheme will help them to give priority to their health and hygiene. The Bhagwant Maan government improved the quality of pads and also increased the budget of the scheme up to 65 crore rupees. With this scheme, 13.65 lakh women of Punjab get sanitary pads every month free of cost.

To maintain transparency in the distribution of pads, a mobile app has also been introduced for the distribution process. Good job having a huge number of Anganwadi centres of 27,313. Scheme launch Date
This scheme was introduced on the 15th of November 2025 when the Punjab government gave the green signal to the scheme. In the budget session of 2026 27, the budget is also increased for the distribution of sanitary pads.
Navi Dishaa Scheme Feature
- Aim : The government wants to enhance menstrual Hygiene among the girls/women by distributing the such product.
- Distribution Centers: The Sanitary Pad or napkin will be distributed through the Anganwadi Centers every month in every area.
- Scheme Budget: Every month, the government provide budget of Rs.53 Crore.
- Targeted Beneficiaries: This scheme is mainly focused on providing benefits to the adolescent girls and women belongs to EWS Category.

Eligibility Criteria
Free sanitary pads are distributed for the woman of age in between 15 to 44 years. In this scheme, movements are covered from categories such as:
- School Dropout girls
- Homeless humans
- Below the poverty line woman
- Slum dwellers
- Nomadic communities
NOTE: All above categiry women/girl should be belongs to economically weaker section.

Door-To-Door sanitary pads are delivered by Anganwadi workers in Punjab. So, there is no formal registration process is required. There are some documents required for data entry by Anganwadi workers. These documents are:

How to get the benefit of this scheme?
To avail the benefit of this scheme, there is no formal registration process. This game works as a protective community-based delivery model. Under this scheme, free sanitary pads are distributed through 27,314 Anganwadi Centres. Every month, nine sanitary pads are distributed to each eligible woman. - If your name is enrolled for this scheme, then you will get free sanitary pad delivery direct to your home BY Anganwadi workers.
