There is already a welfare scheme that is run in the state of Punjab, which is known as the Ashirwad Scheme Punjab and formerly known as the Shagun Scheme. Ashirwad Scheme Eligibility Criteria

  • Permanent Residency:- Applicant Must be belongs to the Punjab state with permanent residency.
  • Family Financial Status: The income of the family from all sources is not more than Rs. 32,000/-.
  • Age Criteria: At the time of marriage of a girl, her age must be 18 years or above.
  • Category: The families must belong to the reserved category, like SC, CB, EWS and for remarriage of a widow and a divorcee applicant must belong to SC and Christian.
