What is Smart Ration Card?
Government now trying to transition into the digital format. So that’s why the state government of Punjab changed its traditional paper ration card to the new Smart Ration card. These New Smart Ration Cards are chip-based ration cards, under which the government ensures the provision of ration in a secure and digital way. Every time any of the family members receives the ration, they have to use their thumb authentication.

How To Apply for the Punjab Smart Ration Card Scheme?
- All the eligible beneficiaries first of all need to visit the local Taluka Office and get the application form from the same office.
- You can also get the application form from the Food Civil Supply Office.
- After receiving the form, you all need to fill out this form with all the basic details about the applicant and their family members.
- Paste your photograph and attach the documents to the form.
- Beneficiaries need to submit their Application form to your Gram Panchayat Office, Block Office and District Office.
- Then verification will be done according to your eligibility and the documents you submit.
- After completing the verification, the Punjab Smart Ration Card will be issued to beneficiaries Family by the officials.
