The support will be given in the shape of a monthly pension of Rs. 1,500. This pension amount will be given to all the beneficiaries quarterly, i.e., every four months. Punjab Dependent Children Pension Scheme

With the help of the Social Security and Women and Child Development Department, the state government of Punjab launched the Dependent Children Pension scheme for children who never or don’t receive support from their parents due to various circumstances. So all those children whose parents are no more, facing physical difficulties, will be eligible to obtain the benefits from this scheme.

Every eligible beneficiary will receive a monthly pension amount of Rs. 1,500, and the same will be released into the account of the beneficiary’s kids once every four months. The amount can only be used for the kids’ education, health care, clothing or any other basic need that is required by him/her. By getting this amount, every dependent kid will also get the social and economic security from the government and live with dignity.

Eligibility Criteria For Children

• Punjab residency: The permanent residents of the state of Punjab will be eligible for this scheme.
• Age limit: The age of the kids is not more than 21 years. There is no age limit available for those below 21 years.
• Family Financial Status: The annual income of the family from all sources is not more than Rs. 60,000.
• Categories of Children: Here are the kids who were selected for pension:- Whose both parents died or are no more, and Whose both parents are mentally and physically disabled and not in a position to work, and Those kids are also eligible whose father is missing and absent from home regularly.
• Property: In the urban area of Punjab state, the family don’t have a house larger than 200 Square meters, and in the rural area, the family must have land below 2.5 Acres.

Documents Required for Pension

• Permanent residence Proof: Need to submit the Residence proof like Ration card, Voter Card, etc.
• ID Card: An ID Card is also required, Aadhar Card
• Age Proof: documents that contain the full date of birth, like Matriculation certificate, Aadhar Card or birth certificate
• Death certificate of Parent
• Disability Certificate
• FIR Copy if Father is Missing
• Financial Status Details: You need to submit the income certificate issued by the authority or a self-declaration in the shape of an affidavit for your income.
• Bank account Details: TO receive the monthly pension need to submit the passbook details of the kids showing the bank account number, etc.
• Additional Documents: The photograph of the beneficiary/kids with the dependent.

• Using your email ID and mobile number, log in to the account using your password and then click on register.
• Here again, the registration form opens here, and you need to enter the information in the form, attach the documents, and submit it.

How to Apply Offline for the Punjab Dependent Children Pension?

• First of all need to collect the form from the portal or by visiting the department office.
• Then fill this form manfully with correct handwriting and attached documents.
• Submit the form in the same office.

If the parents of any child are no more or physically or mentally incapable of looking after their family, then the child is eligible for the Dependent Children Pension Scheme. This scheme works under the Social Security and Women and Child Development Department of Punjab. In this scheme, an eligible person gets a monthly pension of 1500 rupees per month at the age of 21.
