Punjab Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana – Free Doorstep Delivery of your Ration

Chief Minister of the Punjab State launched so many welfare schemes for every category of citizens of the state. To provide enough meals to every family in Punjab, He also announced a new scheme with the name of Punjab Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana or Punjab Ghar Ghar Muft Ration Yojana. In which every beneficiary family will receive the Fresh Ration or Food Items every month at their doorstep. The Government of Punjab provide the same Food Items kits delivered to their doorstep and available at a very low price.

Latest News: Now this scheme has been expanded by the government in the month of April 2026, and the new name of this scheme is “Meri Rasoi Yojana”. This is the new version of the scheme. Under which the same Free Ration Kits will be given to the selected families all over the State. By implementing this scheme in the Punjab state, they are going to cover 40 Families with 1.33 Crore beneficiaries.

Punjab Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana

The families who belong to the poor families are not able to buy the grains at a high rate from the market. So the Punjab government now take care of them by providing their subsidised ration items from their Ration shops. On the other hand, we also know that people who are busy due to their work are out of their homes and they are unable to stand in the long queues to receive the ration from the shops. So now by launching this scheme government saves the energy, time and also the money of the people. The government also gives the Taglines to this scheme, i.e. Suchajja Shaasan, Muft Ration.

All the arrangement for this scheme is made by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department of the Punjab state. Government going to deliver the rations to their doorstep. Which means now you don’t have to stand in long queues. You can receive the same ration at your home. There is no any charge has been charge by the government, this facility is given at free of cost. This also generate the employment for delivering the food items.

Motive

There are so many reasons available for which people are not able to visit the Punjab Government Fair shop to collect their monthly Free ration. Because the poor people will have to earn money and due to their work they are not in homes and able to collect their ration. Some times there are only minor or old age people available, who also not able to get Ration. So now government decided to make the free delivery of the Ration card at door step, with the help of which now all Ration card holder will get Fresh Ration Items at their home.

Features of the Ghar Ghar Ration Scheme

• Home Delivery: All the cover beneficiaries under this scheme will get the ration packed in Ration kits and then delivered to their doorstep directly.
• Beneficiary: Citizen of Punjab State who are Punjab Ration Card Holder.
• Grain Items Given: In this scheme, every family member will get Wheat Flour or Wheat up to 5 Kg.
• New Ration Kits Items: Now, with the expansion of this scheme from the month of April, more ration items have been added in this kit, like Urad Dal, Mustard Oil, Sugar, Salt and Turmeric Powder.
• Quality of Ration: The ration must be fresh and delivered every month.
• Delivery Mode: At the time of delivery, biometric authentication is required, and a slip will also be given to the beneficiaries of the delivered items, which will also maintain transparency.
• Latest Updates: Now in place of Floor, government decided to give the Fresh Wheat to the beneficiaries.

Eligibility Criteria

• All the permanent residents of the state of Punjab will be covered in this scheme.
• Family must be registered under the National Food Security Acts i.e. NFSA, and having valid Ration Card like PHH, Antyodaya Anna Yojana.
• Also need to qualify the income Criteria as instructed by the Punjab government.

Punjab Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana Apply

• There is no need to apply separately for this scheme. Because all the citizens of the Punjab state who having the valid Punjab Ration Card, will not need to submit their application form for receiving the ration kit items at their doorsteps.
• The government automatically added the eligible beneficiaries or cardholders for the same service.
• But in case you don’t have a Punjab ration card, then first of all, you need to apply for the Ration card online or offline.
• The government verify your details and then gives you a Ration card as per your income or financial status.
