Punjab Free Electricity Scheme: 300 Units Every Month For Domestic Users

There are so many promises has been made by the Aam Aadmi Party at the time of the assembly election. So when they made their government in the Punjab state, they implemented the Punjab Free Electricity Scheme in the state successfully. Under this scheme, every consumer who having the domestic electricity connection will get the benefits of the Free Units of Electricity.

In which per month they all will get 300 free electricity unit and for two months of the electricity billing cycle, they will get 600 Free electricity units on every domestic electricity Connection. Which means that every consumer of the Electricity Board of Punjab will make the Zero Bill. This scheme is going to cover 90% household of the Punjab.

What is the Punjab Free Electricity Scheme?

This 600 Units Free electricity or Punjab Free Electricity Scheme was implemented by the state government of Punjab in 1st July 2022. And from the same day, so many consumer having the zero bill, which means they save money. If any of the general or open general public of the state consume more than 600 units per billing cycle, then they have to pay the whole amount of the bill. But in case of SC, Non SC, BPL, BC, Freedom Fighter who consumed more than 600 units, then they only have to pay the cost of units which they consumed in addition to 600. The amount will be paid with Full Fixe Charge, including the rent of the meter, etc.

Punjab 600 Unit Free Scheme Conditions

After the implementation of this scheme government provides every month a total of 300 unit but with the billing cycle, every household will get 600 units against their domestic connection. But only the residents of the Punjab state will get the benefits of this scheme, and you have a valid domestic connection with the PSPCL. In case of excess use of the unit more than 600 units, then every one have to pay the bill of whole units.

In this Free Electricity Scheme per month every domestic consumer of the PSPCL will get 300 unit free but the bill cycle is for 60 days thats’s why many of the people know this scheme as Punjab 600 Unit Free Scheme. Both are the same scheme. In some area of the Punjab the bill cycle is for one month and they get the 300 unit free and can save the electricity bill. It means every household can save the monthly amount of Rs.1,500 to Rs.3,000 per month. It will increase the income and reduce the burden of paying so many bills at every month. Documents Required For identification

• Account number: Need to submit the PSPCL Account Number to verify the valid connection.
• Aadhar Card: You need to submit your Identity card, like an Aadhar Card, for residency proof in the state.
• Category Proof: If you want to get the benefits given to special categories like BC, SC, Freedom Fighter, then you need to submit the same documents.
• Latest Bill: Kindly submit the current electricity bill.
